KIDS MUAY THAI

As with any striking-based martial art, teaching children is a consequential proposition. Though our Kids Muay Thai program is 100% derived from our award-winning adult program, the way we approach teaching children how to throw punches, kicks, elbows, and knees is responsible and age-appropriate.

Having said that, Muay Thai is unlike other striking-based martial arts wherein the memorization of katas or forms is linked to your progress. What that means for your child is that 100% of their time on the mat will be spent learning essential skills that have a direct translation to self-defense today, not 200 years ago.

Unlike most martial arts, like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, there is no unified ranking system in Muay Thai upheld by a governing body. Typically, you either fight or you don’t. Although this approach more or less falls in line with our core principal that the practice of martial arts is a lifelong endeavor, it isn’t universally helpful for children who tend to find their sources of motivation in vastly different ways than adults. As such, our Kids Muay Thai program uses a ranking structure that mirrors our Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program to help our young students stay on track.

Try a class with one of our certified coaches and see why our Kids Muay Thai program is one of the best investments you will ever make toward your child’s future, because success is a learned behavior.
